Abstract

This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to examine the factors associated with work-related stress among public health personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic in Cho-airong District, Narathiwat Province. The sample consisted of 243 participants, and data were collected between December 2023 and January 2024. The research instrument was an online questionnaire administered via Google Forms, which was validated by three experts with a content validity index (CVI) ranging from 0.67 to 1.00. The reliability coefficient was 0.88. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis.

The results revealed that most public health personnel experienced a moderate level of work-related stress (61.31%). After controlling for other variables, it was found that being aged 40 years or younger and having a marital/partnered status were significantly associated with work-related stress among public health personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic in Cho-airong District, Narathiwat Province, at the 0.05 level of significance (adj.OR= 2.23, 95%CI= 1.10–4.53; adj.OR= 2.17, 95%CI= 1.03–4.58).

Therefore, the Mental Health Division of Choairong Hospital should implement targeted programs or activities for younger personnel and those who are married, such as stress management training or life-planning programs.
