The Effectiveness of an Automatic Data Transmission System in Public Health Service Units of Songkhla Province

Abstract

The aim for this research was to study the effectiveness of the automated data transmission system according to the health information standard structure (43 files) developed by the public health service. A questionnaire adapted from the questionnaire was used to studying Information System Efficiency use H.I.S. Program in Suranaree University of Technology Hospital. Tool checked by 3 professional data information system. Sample size determination using Krejcie and Morgan table. A group of 28 system administrators and 136 people in charge of information. Total 164 people. The data was analyzed by statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) and used One-Sample t-test for hypothesis testing.

Conclusion system Administrator shows the overall effectiveness of the automated data transmission system at a high level (M= 4.16, S.D.= 0.45). When considering the assessment of each aspect, the study was found that all aspects were at a high level. Most is system security (M= 4.25, S.D.= 0.61), followed by the suitability of the system (M= 4.21, S.D.= 0.61). Hypothesis testing by One-Sample t-test at 95% confidence interval found that p-value is 0.061, upper than 0.05 (p > 0.05). Accordingly, automated data transmission system of the public health service in Songkhla province has effectiveness at high level with not significantly different 0.05. Person responsible data information shows the overall effectiveness of the automated data transmission system at a high level (M= 3.88, S.D.= 0.51). When considering the assessment of each aspect, the study was found that all aspects were at a high level. Most is system security (M= 3.96, S.D.= 0.60), followed by the suitability of the system (M= 3.95, S.D.= 0.61). Hypothesis testing by One-Sample t-test at 95% confidence interval found that p-value is 0.006, lower than 0.05 (p < 0.05). Accordingly, automated data transmission system of the public health service in Songkhla province has effectiveness at high level with significantly different 0.05. Satisfy Part to automatic send data at high level for overall (M= 4.07, S.D.= 0.58). Considered estimate to each item, By the way all items are high level. The highest was a item you are satisfy to reduce work system (M= 4.11, S.D.= 0.66). The second item was you are satisfy to simple use system
(M= 4.09, S.D.= 0.64).
