ปัญหาสุขภาพและการวิเคราะห์ผลการตรวจเลือดผู้สูงอายุในบ้านพักคนชราธรรมปกรณ์จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ พ.ศ. 2547

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุในบ้านพักคนชราธรรมปกรณ์เชียงใหม่ โดยความร่วมมือกับคณะผู้วิจัยจาก Nippon Medical School ประเทศญี่ปุ่น โดยการสำรวจสุขภาพร่างกายของผู้สูงอายุที่มีอายุมากกว่า 60 ปี จำนวน 92 คน จำแนกเป็นเพศชาย 43 คน เพศหญิง 49 คน พบว่าปัญหาที่พบบ่อย 10 ปัญหาแรกคือ ความผิดปกติของการมองเห็น 90.2% ภาวะซีด 68.5% โรคกระดูกและข้อ 48.9% ความดันโลหิตสูง 42.4% ต้อกระจก 32.6% ภาวะหูตึง 26.1% เบาหวาน 23.9% ฟันผุ 19.6% โรคทางเดินอาหาร 9.8% และโรคหัวใจและหลอดเลือด 8.7% พบความชุกของภาวะอ้วน ความเสื่อมของการรับรู้และภาวะซึมเศร้า 8.7, 55.4 และ 23.9% ตามลำดับ ความชุกของ hypercholesteremia, hyperbeta-lipoproteinemia และ hypertriglyceridemia เท่ากับ 39.1, 55.4 และ 23.9% ตามลำดับ ค่าเฉลี่ย (mean) ของระดับ hemoglobin, FBS, total protein, AST, LDH, BUN, creatinine, uric acid และ amylase เท่ากับ 11.91+- 1.60, 111.22 +- 41.29, 7.7 +- 0.76, 26.11+- 14.93, 12.58+- 10.15, 259.71+- 94.56, 222.37 +- 96.19, 19.45+-, 1.05+-0.47,6.58+-2.06 และ 156.38+-67.41 ตามลำดับ จากการศึกษานี้พบปัญหาสุขภาพสำคัญในผู้สูงอายุบ้านธรรมปกรณ์ คือ ความผิดปกติของการมองเห็น ภาวะซีด ไขมันในเลือดสูง โรคกระดูกและข้อ ความเสื่อมของการรับรู้และภาวะซึมเศร้า ซึ่งได้ทำให้คำแนะนำการดูแลสุขภาพและการสืบค้นการแก้ปัญหาเพิ่มเติมเพื่อให้ผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มนี้มีสุขภาพดีขึ้น
