บทคัดย่อ

Case of scabies found at Phraphuttabat Hospital from 1995 to 2004 were reviewed. Out of 513 cases, 322 medical records (62.8%) were available for review, 66.1% were male and 33.9% were female. The ratio male to female was 1.95: 1. The children (0-14 years) were the highest group of scabies infestration (65.2%). The peak incidence occurred in children between 0-9 years (48.8%). The youngest was one month old. The oldest was seventy-three years old. The highest prevalence was found in temples where many Buddhist novices lived. Most cases lived in Saraburi province (81.1%). The most common infestration site was hand followed by trunk and male genitalia. Papules were the most common signs.
