Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a prevalent, leading cause of death globally. Management, per GOLD 2025 guidelines, involves bronchodilators and other medications. Revefenacin is a new, once-daily nebulized solution of long-acting anti-muscarinic agent. It is delivered via a nebulizer, allowing breathing without high inspiratory effort, which is often difficult for patients with severe symptoms. This improves adherence and delivery efficiency, making it ideal for patients with poor handheld inhaler technique. Clinical studies confirm revefenacin significantly improves lung function, reduces exacerbations, and is safe for long-term use. Thus, it offers a maintenance treatment option for moderate to severe COPD patients with persistent symptoms despite standard therapy.
