การดูแลผู้สูงอายุไตวายระยะสุดท้าย: บทบาทท้าทายพยาบาลชุมชนในสังคมผู้สูงอายุ

บทคัดย่อ:
การเข้าสู่สังคมผู้สูงอายุนั้นส่งผลต่อการทำงานของพยาบาลชุมชน ซึ่งต้องปรับบทบาทในการให้บริการด้านสุขภาพให้สอดคล้องกับบริบททางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมที่เปลี่ยนแปลงโดยเฉพาะการดูแลผู้สูงอายุภาวะไตวายระยะสุดท้ายซึ่งมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มสูงขึ้นบทบาทพยาบาลชุมชนในการดูแลแบบประคับประคองผู้สูงอายุไตวายระยะสุดท้ายจึงมีความสำคัญ ได้แก่ การเตรียมญาติเพื่อการดูแล การเตรียมบุคลากรและแหล่งสนับสนุนที่เกี่ยวข้อง การจัดการอาการทุกข์ทรมาน การดูแลจิตวิญญาณที่สอดคล้องกับบริบททางสังคมและวัฒนธรรม การดูแลผู้ดูแลและครอบครัวในภาวะเศร้าโศกและการสูญเสีย บทบาทดังกล่าวนี้จะช่วยส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในช่วงวาระสุดท้ายได้อย่างสมศักดิ์ศรี การพัฒนาสมรรถนะของพยาบาลชุมชนในการดูแลประคับประคองผู้ป่วยในระยะสุดท้ายนับเป็นประเด็นสำคัญที่ต้องพัฒนาเพื่อเป็นการเตรียมความพร้อมรองรับการบริการด้านสุขภาพผู้ป่วยสูงอายุในชุมชนในอนาคต
