Abstract

Skin and soft tissue prevent our body from bacteria and other foreign body. Wounds are injuries that break skin barrier. Wound healing is a complex process that needs sufficient energy, vitamins, and minerals, which are substrates needed to activate cellular function, to complete wound healing process. Nutrition and wound healing are closely linked. Malnutrition leads to chronic wound, infection, and increase mortality rate.
