King’s theory of goal attainment: An application for psychiatric rehabilitation

Abstract
Psychiatric rehabilitation is a long process and significantly based on the interaction between nurse and patient. Moreover, the rehabilitation will be whether succeed or not is based on the goal attainment developed between two parties. This article will address the theory of goal attainment of King which focused on the interaction between nurse and patient as well as goal setting between two of them to achieve those goals. The details of concept of psychiatric rehabilitation, a concept of King’s theory of goal attainment and its application for psychiatric rehabilitation as well as the possible limitation will be addressed.
