Abstract

Coaching is renowned as one of the most effective success keys for leadership development. In public services, coaching has been provided only for the top executive but is just emerging as an option for nurse supervisors, nurse managers, and head nurses. Findings show that after coaching training, nurse managers gained resilience, better coping strategies, and enable transformational leadership to develop collaborative teamwork, enhance staff retention and help them in creating a cohesive workforce and work effectively even when under pressure. Therefore, the development of coaching skills needs the support of the organization. This is a tremendous opportunity for nurses to meet the challenges of nursing leadership development and inspiration to enhance the quality of care.
