The Development of environmental quality index in hospital model

Abstract

This article aimed to study (1) problems and needs in the development of environmental quality indicators for model hospitals. (2) To development of environmental quality indexes for model hospitals. The sample was personnel of regional hospitals in the Ministry of Public Health, in the eastern region, totaling 6 places, totaling 12,196 people. They were selected by Three different types of research were conducted using specific selection techniques and tools, including: 1) study notes from standard concepts and related research, 2) notes from small group discussions, and 3) expert questionnaires. The data were analyzed using an IOC of 0.84 and confidence findings were determined using Cronbach's Coefficient of 0.96. Analysis data by Descriptive statistics and Content Analysis. The research results were found as follows;
1. A survey of the literature and related research on the ideas of environmental quality in model hospitals, which used 16 data sources to classify the content, revealed that it contains information on 8 different components of environmental quality indexes.
2.The results of the development of environmental quality indexes in model hospitals consisted of 8 components: 1. Management component 2. Physical and biological component 3. Energy management component 4. Water management component 5. Management component of the hospital Waste 6. Safety management component 7. Environmental component for health promotion and 8. Community engagement component
This findings from research were usefully for developing the work, the environment quality indexes of the in all hospitals can be better.
