Results of Program for Developing Quality of Life of Patients under the Royal Patronage

Abstract

The quasi-experimental study aimed to results program developing of quality of life on patients of the King  His Majesty. There are 2 stages: 1) to the development of knowledge and understanding. This study included public health personnel responsible for work 152 participants received developing knowledge about quality of life. One-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument was the -3 day quality of life knowledge and understanding workshop activities, design and develop quality of life activities, presentation and suggestions from experts and knowledge assessment was reliability 0.71. 2). To intervention quality of life program.  This study included 339 participants received quality of life program by simple random sampling. The instruments
was the -12 week quality of life program: Self-care, self-esteem enhancement, community health relationship building, and environmental management for safety and questionnaires (WHO) was reliability 0.84 and
0.65. Percentage, mean, standard deviation and paired sample t-test. The results of this research were as follows:
1). After receiving knowledge program, the public health personnel had significance better knowledge than before receiving knowledge program at 0.01 level. and 2). After receiving quality of life program, the patients under
His Majesty the King and His Royal in Thailand had significance better the total quality of life and quality of life physical domain, psychological domain, social relationships and environment than before receiving quality of life program at 0.01 level.


               Conclusion and recommendations: Developing knowledge quality of life to apply and use in accordance with the context of the area has an impact on improving the quality of life on patients therefore, relevant agencies can use the model to improve the quality of life.
