Personal, Mental Health, and Family Factors Associated with Quality of Life among University of Phayao Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
This descriptive cross-sectional study aimed to examine factors associated with quality of life (QOL) among University of Phayao students. The sample consisted of 413 undergraduate students from 18 faculties. Data were collected between July and August 2025 using self-administered questionnaires. QOL was assessed using the Thai WHOQOL-BREF, while depression, anxiety, and stress were assessed using the DASS-21. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and chi-square tests, with statistical significance set at p<0.05. The results showed that most participants had overall QOL at a good level (61.3%), followed by a poor/moderate level (38.7%), with a mean score of 89.66 ± 17.61. Factors significantly associated with QOL included grade point average, faculty, monthly income, depression, anxiety, stress, and family factors (p<0.05), whereas sex, age, and year of study were not significantly associated with QOL (p>0.05). These findings may serve as baseline information for planning QOL promotion and mental health care activities for students, considering faculty context, economic factors, mental health, and family factors.
