Abstract

This analytical cross-sectional study was to investigate factors affecting exercise among people in Leam Tanod subdistrict, Khun Khanun district, Phatthalung province. Two hundred and fifty subjects were randomly selected. The data were gathered by using questionnaires. Multiple logistic regression analysis was used for data analysis. The main results found that place of exercise and intention to exercise were significantly associated with exercise. The subjects were more likely to exercise in the community park (OR: 2.51; 95% CI: 1.21 to 5.23). Furthermore, those who had more intention to exercise were more likely to exercise (OR: 1.10, 95% CI: 1.04 to 1.16). The authors suggested that exercise activities should be promoted continuously, especially exercise resources such as public areas, equipment, and exercise leaders. In addition, community sport club should be established in order to promote exercise activities among the people.
