Abstract

Radicular cysts are the most common cystic lesions in the jaws. Complete enucleation is the treatment of choice. In the presenting case report, the 23-year-old woman visited the dentist with chief complaint of still pain and swelling of gum at upper right anterior tooth after tooth was removed for 10 days. Oral examination showed extraction wound of tooth #11 with pus. First, infection was treated by I & D and antibiotics for 12 days but did not get well. So, complete enucleation and biopsy was done. The definitive diagnosis with histopathology was radicular cyst. Two weeks later, patient came back with small pain and swelling at the same area because of residual cyst wall. Complete enucleation was done again, and the patient did well in six months of follow-up.
