ผลของการฝังเข็มในการรักษาอาการเท้าชาในผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวาน

บทคัดย่อ

     The objective of this experimental study was to study therapeutic effect of acupuncture on Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN). We used 40 patients with DPN in Diabetes Clinic at Laungpohpern Hospital as a sample population, devided in to 20 cases of experimental group and 20 cases of control group by simple 1 random sampling technique. Both groups were treated by the same conventional methods at Diabetes Clinic. Only the experimental group got acupuncture treatment twice a week for the total of eight times. Degree of  the numbness were measured and recorded with the use of Semmes-Weinstein monofilament one week before and one week after study in both groups. We used t-test statistic to compare the therapeutic effect of the experimental group between before and after study end and also, to compare the therapeutic effect of acupuncture between the experimental and the control group.

     The results show that there are better therapeutic effect of numbness symptoms between before and after acupuncture treatment of the experimental group significantly. Alter the study was end, there are different better therapeutic effect of numbness symptoms between experimental group and control group significantly. In conclusion, acupuncture treatment has more better effect to improve numbness symptoms in DPN than  the conventional treatment methods significantly (p<0.05).
