การตรวจคัดกรองการได้ยินในทารกแรกเกิดโรงพยาบาลนครปฐม

บทคัดย่อ

       Incidence of congenital hearing loss has been reported as high as 1 -5/1,000 in newborn. This project aimed to disclose an incidence of congenital hearing loss in Nakornpathom Hospital, this screening was started in 1^st June 2005 to 31^st  May 2006. The screening was performed by using the OAE, AABR Model Accuscreen. They were refered to Ramathibodi Hospital, for confirm diagnosis by ABR before 3 months old of age. Total of 5,146 out of 5,354 babies were screened in the period of 12 months covering 96.1% of total life birth. Six newborns have been confirmed the diagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss making an overall incidence of 1.1/1,000 the referral rate of 2.65%, the return rate of 79.94% and false positive rate of 4.51% Univariate analysis using yate’s Chi—square to identify significant risk factors with a significance level of P ≤ 0.05. During one year of the study, Six infants refered to Ramathibodi Hospital three infants were high risks, the other were well babies. All of them had comfirmed diagnosis that they had congenital hearing loss.
