บทคัดย่อ

Objective : To evaluate ocular injury in Samutsakhon Hospital

Materials and methods : Retrospective descriptive study of 650 cases of ocular injury in Samutsakhon Hospital during 1 October 2005 - 30 September 2007 included 2 years.

Results : Of those cases, 74.77% were male and 25.23% were female. Most were working people and 38.3% were between 20-29 years old. Most patients (83%) were employees and labors. Most patients went to the hospital within 1 day after accident. Most common injury was corneal foreign body. Most patients had good prognosis of visual outcome and 4 patients blinded.

Concluslon : Most cases of ocular injury in Samutsakhon Hospital were related with occupation and might be similar or different from other previous studies.
