การผ่าตัดรักษากระดูกใบหน้าแตกหักในโรงพยาบาลมะการักษ์ 111 ราย ปี พ.ศ. 2542-2547

บทคัดย่อ

          Facial fractures are common surgical problem in rural and urban Hospital. Most of the facial fractures are not life threatening, treatment can usually be delayed until other more serious life-threatening injuries have been addressed. Patients can get more benefit from early one-stage repair, precise reduction, and rigid fixation by the cooperation between the surgeon and the dentist. A retrospective study of 111 patients with 198 facial fracture sites undergoing surgical treatment at Division of Surgery and Division of Dentistry in Makarak Hospital, Kanchanaburi during the past 5 years (October 1^st 1999, September 30^th  2004) is presented. The etiology of the fracture was mostly related to transport accidents. There were 42 associated organ injuries and 11 patients encountered com-plications relating to facial fractures.
