ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อภาวะเบาหวานเข้าจอประสาทตา การศึกษาผู้ป่วยเบาหวาน 500 ราย ที่จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี

บทคัดย่อ

          Study of Prevalence of diabetic retinopathy in diabetic patients was conducted at Thamuang, Thongphapum and Bophloi hospital during June 2000 to February 2004. We found that total diabetic patients was 542 patients, 168 of them were male (31.00%) and 374 were female (69.00%). 244 of 415 (45.02%) had age between 51-65 years. 287 of 415 (52.95%) had duration of diabetes less than 5 years. Most of them had well controlled tasting blood sugar between 100-140 mg% (41.70%). 127 of 415 (23.44%) had diabetic retinopathy, 108 of them (19.93%) were Non-Proliferative diabetic retinopathy and 19 of them (3.51%) were Prolilerative diabetic retinopathy. Patients that duration of diabetes more than 5 years found diabetic retinopathy 32.55% and fasting blood sugar more than 180 mg% found diabetic retinopathy 24.77%. The result was as followed, the factor significantly related to occurrence of diabetic retinopathy was duration of diabetes. The relation was at the 0.05 level. (p-value < 0.05). Sex, age and fasting blood sugar of patients were not statistically significant.
