ซีโรทัยป์ของเชื้อซัลโมเนลลาที่แยกได้จากผู้ป่วยในภาคกลางตอนล่าง

บทคัดย่อ

          This study identified serotypes of Salmonella in the patients in lower central of Thailand community during August 2001 to December 2003. 417 strains of Salmonella isolated from stool of diarrhea patients, 64 strains from blood and bone marrow and 8 strains from other sources as urine and pus were identify for serotype and antimicrobial susceptibility test. 51 serotypes were identified. The predominate serotypes composed of 13% of S. Typhimurium (group B) , 13% of S. Weltevreden (group E), 10% of S. Anatum (group E), 7% of S. Enteritidis (group D), 6% of S. Stanley (group B), 6 % of S. Rissen (group C), 5 % of S. Choleraesuis (group C), 4 % of S. Panama (group D), 3% of S. Agona (group B) and 3% ot S. Virchow (group C). The most serotype which the major cause of enteric fever and sepsis were S. Choleraesuis (33%), S. Typhimurium (28%), S. Enteritidis (17%) and S. Typhi (13%). The most serotype which the major cause of gastroenteritis and diarrhea were S.Weltevreden (14%), S. Anatum (12%), S. Typhimurium (10%), S. Stanley (7%), S. Filssen (7%), S. Panama (5 %), S. Enteritidis (5 %). The pattern of drug resistance in S. Choleraesuis, S. Typhimurium and S. Enteriitidis were similar to the other serotypes. The predominate serotypes had high percentage resistant in Tetracyclin (57-93%), Co-trimoxazole (40-79%) and Sulphonamides (53-100%) except for S. Weltevreden which had low rate resistant in all antimicrobial drugs (0-28%). All serotyps had low rate resistant to Norfloxacin and Ciprofloxacin (O-10%). No any serotypes of Salmonella resisted to cefotaxime and ceftriaxone. S. Typhiumrium and S. Choleraesuis, which had high prevalence and major problem of sepsis, were rather high rate of resistant to many antimicribial drugs hence these serotypes had to continuouse monitoring.
