บทคัดย่อ

          This retrospective cohort study was performed to compare the obstetric outcome in singleton and nulliparous women that delivered at Nakhonpathom Hospital during January 2000 and December 2002. They were grouped into 1682 cases aged < 20, 4313 cases aged 20-34 (control group) and 191 cases aged ≥ 35. Incidence of fetal low birth weight in aged < 20 group was higher than control group significantly (RR 1.41, 95% CI 1.23 - 1.62). Incidence of antepartum complication in aged ≥ 35 group was higher than control group significantly (RR 2.75, 95% CI 1.1 - 6.89). There were no differences in stillbirth, fetal low Apgar score· and postpartum complication in all groups. Incidence of cesarean section rate was the highest in aged ≥ 35 group and important indication was elective.
