บทคัดย่อ

Ten cases of foreign-body injection into penile skin were reported. The aim of injection was to increase the circumference of the penile shaft. Only 2 patients could define the type of foreign-body they received. Most patients were laborer and the average age was 32 years.

The complications were infection, ulceration, painful erection, penile deformity and migration of foreign-body which occurred between 1 month to 10 years after injection. Definitive treatment of these patients included total removal of the involved skin and surrounding tissue and resurfacing the penile shaft by scrotal flap. Only one patient needed partial thickness skin graft from the thigh because part of his scrotal skin was excised due to involvement by the foreign-body. All patients did well with the treatment except one who had infection of the scrotal flap. We found scrotal flap was effective and reliable for penile resurfacing.
