บทคัดย่อ

A woman 34 years of age, married; had a chronic submental space abscess. She had been treated by incision and drain combined with antibiotics for several times for 5 years by general surgeon, but the clinical sign and symptom still appeared because the general surgeon could not find the focal origin. After consulting the dentist at the Dental Department, Chaoprayayomraj Hospital.

The dentist found that she had pulp necrosis at the lower right canine caused by traumatic occlusion. After finding the proper diagnosis, Root canal treatment with antibiotics yielded good result after 5 years follow up.
