ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการลดลงของระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดของผู้ป่วยเบาหวานชนิดไม่พึ่งอินซูลินที่มารับการรักษาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โรงพยาบาลบ้านลาด จังหวัดเพชรบุรี

บทคัดย่อ

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between factors affecting decreasing of blood sugar level in the continuing of diabetic treatment patients and the decreasing of the blood sugar level. The sample consisted of 120 non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus patients who attended diabetic clinic, at out-patient department in Banlad hospital, Petchaburi province during October to December, 1997. The subjects were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data was collected from interviewing guide and medical record. Data was analysed by descriptive statistics and Chi-square test.

The results revealed that, only 49.2 percent of the subjects had decreased blood sugar level and 57.5 percent had practicing score at good level. There were no associations between age, marietal status, duration of the disease and the decreasing of the blood sugar level, but there were a statistical association between body weight, the level of education, income, practice and the decreasing of the blood sugar level.

The results of this study would be useful to health personnel for giving health education and emphasized on selfcare practice of diabetes mellitus patients, so that, the health services provided will be more efficiency.
