ประเมินผลการรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคปอดด้วยระบบยาระยะสั้นของโรงพยาบาลระยอง

บทคัดย่อ

The evaluation of Short Course Chemotherapy of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Rayong hospital was studied. New patients from Oct 1, 1995 to Sept 30, 1996 was studied. Among 197 patients, 154 Cases were treated with regimen 2 HRZE/4HR and 43 cases were treated with regimen 2 HRZ/4HR. Among those who recieved regimen 2 HRZE/4HR the treatment completion rate was 66.23%, cure rate was 62.34%, defaulter rate was 33.77% and treatment failure rate was 5.88%. Among  those who recieved regimen 2HRZE/4HR the treatment completion rate was 72.1%, cure rate was 72.1% and defaulter rate was 27.9% Defaulter rate of the regimen 2HRZE/4HR in the first 2 months and the last 4 month were 12.34% and 21.43% respectively. Defaulter rate of regimen 2HRZ/4HR in the first 2 months and in the last 4 months were 16.28% and 11.62% respectively. The higher defaulter rate in continuation phase probably due to the improvement of symptoms. Continuous health education and free of charge are important in obtaining higher treatment completion rate.
