บทคัดย่อ

Wilson's disease is a rare autosomal-recessive disorder originated on the basis of metabolic copper over-storage. This is the case report of a patient aged 33, who became pregnant when Wilson's disease was diagnosed. She had a healthy nine-year old son and three spontaneous abortion in her previous history. She was treated regulary by penicillamine 500 mg/day in current preganacy. A healthy male baby was delivered by cesarean section at 37 weeks gestation with a body weight of 2,500 grams. Early diagnosis, effective treatment and adequate antenatal care in Wilson's disease with pregnancy can prevent liver and brain damage and thus enable the patient to have a normal life and have a healthy child.
