บทคัดย่อ

          This research attempted to study the incidence rate of villages accident in Suphanburi province of 1,583 households during May, 1992. There were 202 households accident totally, 59.45% were road traffic accident and the others were home accident, water accident and occupation accident about 37.79, 1.38, 1.38 percent respectively. Majority area happened in Dermbang district. Most villages accidents were road traffic accident, 78.36% were motorcycle accidents, which occurred outside submunicipality on the straight asphaled and ground road. The ratio of male and female victims were 3.3:1, 32.19% were between 20-29 years old, 63.70% were slightly injured, and 36.99% admitted in community hospital. They were curable 94.5%, dead 4.11% and cripples 0.68%. The main cause was the driver, who have never been used personal safety helmet while driving 67.74%, driven at full speed with careless 50.85%, and drunken alcohol 24.50%. Environment factors were slippery way, roughly road, no traffic sign, careless of pedestrians, and defect on vehicles. To reduce the incidence rate of villages accident, people should be educated in accidental preventions especially in using road, and personal safety helmet, law enforcement, and traffic engineering.
