บทคัดย่อ

          The purpose of this study was to compare the child development at age 24 months in infants whose mothers had been given knowledge to encourage child development and in infants whose mothers had not been given knowledge to encourage child development. The samples were 45 couples of mothers and child at age 24 months who delivered at Maternal and Child Hospital, Ratchaburi. These couples were divided into 2 groups, 22 couples were experimental group or Received teaching early intervention group and 23 couples were control group or non-received teaching early intervention group. The results showed no significant difference in child development between two groups of child. However, the child development scores of both groups in this study was higher than the standard scores of Developmental Skills lnventary (DSI) in age 24 months. This might be supported by the mean scores of mother knowledge in the experimental group was higher than the control group (P = 0.001).
