การสำรวจโรคหูในเด็กนักเรียนประถมศึกษา เขตอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์

บทคัดย่อ

          The authors reported cases of ear disease and hearing tests in students of 49 primary schools in Amphur Moung, Prachuapkhirikhan Province. There were 9,645 students tested. 2.5 percent of the students had otitis media. 12.86 percent had other ear diseases and 85.04 percent were normal.  Among the students who have ear diseases, 26 percent were disease of the right ear, 24 percent were disease of left ear and 50 percent of students were disease of both ears.

          The proportion between male and female of the students who had ear disease is 1 : 1.

          The students who had abnormal hearing tests is 14.33%. Among the students with abnormal hearing tests, 82.22% of were disease of middle ears and 17.78% were disease of the inner ears. The abnormal hearing tests ranged from 26 to 115 decibel. These ear diseases and hearing loss were preventable by health education, early detection and treatment.
