บทคัดย่อ

The retrospective study of acute renal failure in Prachuabkirikhan hospital, 32 cases were analysed. There were 19 males and 13 females, with a mean age of 55.6 years (range 16-80 years). The most common cause of acute renal failure was sepsis (62.5%). The overall mortality rate was 43.75%. About 43.7% of cases had underlying diseases. This study revealed that the most common causes of death were the causes of acute renal failure. The serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen values were not significant difference between the alive and dead groups(P>0.05). The mortality rate of the non-oliguric acute renal failure was lower than the oliguric acute renal failure but not significant (P >0.05). The peritoneal dialysis were applied only in the oliguric group.
