บทคัดย่อ

          The retrospective study of 101 cases of prolonged pregnancy end with caesarean section from 10,955 deliveries performed at Banpong Hospital in the past five years (1988-1992). The incidence of prolonged pregnancy is 1:108. Among the prolonged gestations 74.26% were in primiparous women and 25.74% in multiparous women. The infant weighed 3,232 gram on average. The perinatal mortality was not found. Meconium was present in 17.82%. No meconium aspiration was seen and no blood replacement during operation. No maternal mortality was found. There was only one maternal morbidity from caesarean wound infection.
