ภาวะลำไส้อุดตันในโรงพยาบาลโพธาราม

บทคัดย่อ

          A three years retrospective study of intestinal obstruction in Photharam Hospital since 1^st October 1990 to 30^th  September 1993, 56 patients have been admitted for 63 episodes of diseases. There were 40 males and 16 females, and the ratio of males to females was 2.5 : 1. The major causes of intestinal obstruction consisted of adhesive bands in 43 cases (68.25%), strangulated hernia in 11 cases (17.46%). and tumour in 4 case (6.35%). The level of obstruction was mosty in small bowels, and only 29 cases was operated (46.03%). Two patients were dead, and the overall mortality rate was 3.17%.
