Cementoblastoma ในฟันกรามน้อยบนซี่ที่ 2: รายงานผู้ป่วย 1 ราย

บทคัดย่อ

          Generally, cementoblastoma is more common in patients aged 20 year and over (mean 39 year) females and mandible especially lower anterior teeth and premolars. Most cases have no symptom. The aim of this study was to report a case of cementoblastoma in a maxillary premolar. A 25 year old Thai male visited a dentist with chief compliant of gingival enlargement and pain when pressure was applied on edentulous area of upper right first molar (#16) which had been extracted for 2 years. Results of biopsy and radiographs revealed that it was because of cementoblastoma. The lesion was on periapical of upper right second premolar (#15) and involved edentulous area of upper right first molar (#16). The given treatment was enucleation of the lesion and extraction of upper right second premolar (#15) under local anesthesia. One month after surgery the result was satisfactory. This study suggested that cementoblastoma be one of periapical lesions taken into account in order to give precise diagnosis and proper treatment.
