Abstract

Health officials and nurses cooperation in the development of healthy communities together to solve problems that arise in every stage of the research is as follows:  1) Alteration in the community health system in support for stroke prevention: The changes in community health system involved alteration in the following areas; application of community empirical data as a basement for the creation of stroke prevention measures, communication with local people, publication of stroke prevention measures, monitoring and following up system was coached by healthcare officials, and creating stroke preventing environment. 2) Alteration in perception, management and behavior of the personnel relating to the community’s health care system: The changes in this category involve; allocating of the responsibilities on stroke prevention, creating role model group, creating awareness on the danger of stroke and the importance of stroke prevention. In addition, a Thai rhyming, “Teep, Tak, Tan, Undarai”, literally means “narrowing, breaking, blocking, dangerous”, was also used in a campaign to gain public awareness on the danger of stroke developed at different levels of blood vessel obstructions.
