Relationship between Health Literacy Related to Office Syndromes and Office Syndrome Prevention Behavior among Supportive Personnel at a University

Abstract

           The aim of this descriptive research was to investigate the relationships between health literacy regarding office syndromes and Office Syndrome Prevention Behavior (OSPB)  among 296 support personnel who use a computer for their work at a university. The research instruments were self-administered questionnaires with three parts consisting of demographic data. The health literacy over all of the office syndromes with confidence. 81. The behavioral syndrome prevention office syndrome with confidence. 87. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficient statistics.

            The research results found that overall health literacy was at a moderate level of 43.2%, followed by the high level of 30.2% and 26.4% less. OSPB score was at the moderate level of 38.9%, followed by a low 35.8% and a high 25.3%. Health literacy was positively associated with OSPB. For each component, it was found that self-management (r=0.317, p < .001), communication skill (r = 0.314, p < .001), media literacy (r = 0.213, p < 0.05), and decision making skills (r = 0.169, p < .05) were positively associated with OSPB.
