การพยาบาลผู้ป่วยเด็กโรคมะเร็งที่ได้รับการรักษาด้วยยาเคมีบำบัด: กรณีศึกษา

ในปัจจุบันการดูแลผู้ป่วยเด็กโรคมะเร็งที่ได้รับการรักษาด้วยยาเคมีบำบัด ผู้ให้การดูแลมักประสบกับปัญหาภาวะแทรกซ้อนจากการได้รับยาเคมีบำบัดโดยเฉพาะผู้ป่วยเด็กที่ได้รับการวินิจฉัยโรคมะเร็งเป็นครั้งแรก แพทย์ผู้รักษาจะให้ยาเคมีบำบัดในระยะเริ่มต้นเพื่อชักนำให้โรคสงบ ซึ่งมีผลข้างเคียงค่อนข้างมาก หากไม่ได้รับการเฝ้าระวังและดูแลที่ดีอาจส่งผลให้ผู้ป่วยเด็กไม่สามารถรับยาเคมีบำบัดได้ครบและโรคจะกำเริบรุนแรงขึ้นได้ พยาบาลมีบทบาทสำคัญในการดูแลผู้ป่วยเด็กโรคมะเร็ง เพื่อป้องกันภาวะแทรกซ้อนที่อาจเกิดขึ้นและแก้ไขอาการไม่พึงประสงค์ต่างๆ เพื่อให้ผู้ป่วยเด็กสามารถรับการรักษาได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง และสามารถมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี
