สิ่งที่พยาบาลต้องเรียนรู้ก่อนการดูแลบาดแผล: อาวุธไม่ลับที่ต้องรู้

การเกิดบาดแผลส่งผลกระทบต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วยอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ พยาบาลผู้ทำหน้าที่ใน การดูแลบาดแผลจำเป็นต้องเรียนรู้สิ่งสำคัญและจำเป็นก่อนการดูแลบาดแผลก็คือพื้นฐานและศาสตร์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับกายวิภาคศาสตร์ พยาธิสรีรวิทยาและการทำหน้าที่ของผิวหนัง บาดแผลและการจำแนกประเภทของบาดแผล รวมทั้งกระบวนการหายของแผลให้เข้าใจอย่างดีเสียก่อน สิ่งที่พยาบาลต้องเรียนรู้ก่อนการดูแลบาดแผลน่าจะเปรียบได้กับอาวุธไม่ลับที่ต้องรู้ของพยาบาล เพราะความเข้าใจอย่างลึกซึ้งเป็นระบบ จะเป็นอาวุธสำคัญที่พยาบาลควรเตรียมให้พร้อมก่อนที่จะปฏิบัติการดูแลบาดแผล ด้วยวิถีแห่งกระบวนการพยาบาลที่พยาบาลใช้ต่อสู้กับความเจ็บป่วยและภาวะสุขภาพที่เบี่ยงเบน ซึ่งเปรียบได้ดั่งสนามรบของพยาบาลในการต่อสู้กับปัญหาสุขภาพของประชาชนนั่นเอง
