การศึกษานี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อบรรยายการทำงานของทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพในการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผล ในหออภิบาลผู้ป่วยอายุรกรรม โรงพยาบาลตติยภูมิแห่งหนึ่งในภาคใต้โดยใช้กรอบแนวคิดการทำงานร่วมกันของทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพ ประกอบด้วย 4 ด้าน คือ การให้คุณค่าและจริยธรรม บทบาทและหน้าที่ การสื่อสาร และการทำงานเป็นทีม ศึกษาสถานการณ์การทำงานร่วมกันของทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ประกอบด้วย ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 5 คน พยาบาล 19 คน แพทย์ 3 คน และเภสัชกร 3 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกแบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง และการสนทนากลุ่ม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้หลักการวิเคราะห์ประเด็น ผลการศึกษาการทำงานของทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพที่มีผลต่อการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลในหออภิบาลผู้ป่วยอายุรกรรม โรงพยาบาลตติยภูมิในภาคใต้ ประกอบด้วย 1) การให้คุณค่าระหว่างบุคลากรในทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพ 2) มีช่องว่างในการสื่อสาร 3) บทบาทและความร่วมมือของแต่ละบุคลากรไม่ชัดเจน และ 4) แพทย์และพยาบาลมีความรู้ไม่เพียงพอต้องเสริมเติมให้เหมาะสม หน่วยงานสามารถนำผลการศึกษาที่ได้ไปใช้ เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการทำงานร่วมกันของทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพ เพื่อให้เกิดการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลในหน่วยงานต่อไป
