การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา เพื่อศึกษาความวิตกกังวลทางสังคมจากการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ของนักศึกษาพยาบาล และเพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพฤติกรรมการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ การเปรียบเทียบทางสังคม และการเสพติดการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ กับความวิตกกังวลทางสังคมในนักศึกษาพยาบาล กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาพยาบาลระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยสวนดุสิต อายุ 18-37 ปี จำนวน 190 ราย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ แบบสอบถามการเปรียบเทียบทางสังคม แบบทดสอบการเสพติด
การใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ และแบบทดสอบความวิตกกังวลทางสังคมจากการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค เท่ากับ .80 .97.90 และ .97 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา และวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์อย่างง่าย
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ความวิตกกังวลทางสังคมในการใช้สื่อออนไลน์ของนักศึกษาพยาบาล มหาวิทยาลัยสวนดุสิต มีค่าเฉลี่ยโดยรวม เท่ากับ 2.79 (S.D. = 1.10) และอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ในขณะเดียวกันพฤติกรรมการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ การเปรียบเทียบทางสังคม การเสพติดการใช้เครือข่ายสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับความวิตกทางสังคมจากการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (r = .35, 49, .67, p < 0.01 ตามลำดับ) ผลการศึกษาสามารถนำไปคัดกรองความเสี่ยงด้านสุขภาพจิต เรื่องความวิตกกังวลทางสังคมจากการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ การประเมินพฤติกรรมการใช้สื่อ การเปรียบเทียบทางสังคม และการเสพติดสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ในกลุ่มนักศึกษาพยาบาล
