บุหรี่ไฟฟ้าและการป้องกันการสูบในเด็กและเยาวชน : ความท้าทายบทบาทของพยาบาลชุมชน

บุหรี่ไฟฟ้าหรือบุหรี่อิเล็กทรอนิกส์กำลังเป็นปัญหาสำคัญในประเทศไทยและมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มเด็กและเยาวชน ผู้สูบส่วนใหญ่เชื่อว่าบุหรี่ไฟฟ้ามีความปลอดภัยมากกว่าบุหรี่ธรรมดา เกิดการเสพติดน้อยกว่า และสามารถใช้บุหรี่ไฟฟ้าในการช่วยเลิกบุหรี่ได้ แต่หลายงานวิจัยทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศยืนยันว่า บุหรี่ไฟฟ้ามีนิโคตินที่มีฤทธิ์เสพติดสูง นอกจากนี้ยังประกอบด้วยโลหะหนัก สารก่อมะเร็ง และในสารปรุงแต่งน้ำยาบุหรี่ไฟฟ้ายังมีสารเคมีอื่น ๆ หลายชนิดที่ส่งผลร้ายแรงต่อสุขภาพ เด็กและเยาวชนยังมีความความเข้าใจผิดเกี่ยวกับบุหรี่ไฟฟ้าในหลากหลายประเด็น บทความนี้
จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออธิบายความสำคัญของปัญหาการสูบบุหรี่ไฟฟ้าที่เพิ่มมากขึ้นในเด็กและเยาวชนในชุมชนความหมายของพฤติกรรมการสูบบุหรี่ไฟฟ้า ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพล ผลกระทบของบุหรี่ไฟฟ้าต่อเด็กและเยาวชน รวมทั้งเสนอแนะบทบาทของพยาบาลชุมชนในการป้องกันการสูบบุหรี่ไฟฟ้าในชุมชน ครอบคลุมมิติของการป้องกันโรคทั้งสามระดับเพื่อเป็นแนวทางให้แก่ผู้ปฏิบัติงานในชุมชนในการประยุกต์ใช้องค์ความรู้ในการป้องกันปัญหาบุหรี่ไฟฟ้าในชุมชนอย่างเป็นรูปธรรมและมีความยั่งยืนต่อไป
