Behavior of Food Sanitation Operations of Administrator and Worker in Phuket Provincial Administrative Local Government Organizations

This research aimed to study 1) personal factors, leading factors, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors, of Food Sanitation Operations of Administrators and Workers in Phuket Provincial Administrative Local Government Organizations, and 2) personal factors, leading factors, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors that affect food sanitation behavior of Administrators and Workers in Phuket Provincial Administrative Local Government Organizations. This research is a cross-sectional descriptive study. The population studied is 102 Administrators and food sanitation workers in 18 local administrative organizations in Phuket Province. All population units were examined. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The reliability values were 0.87, 0.78, 0.86, and 0.72, respectively. The statistics used for data analysis were descriptive statistics and linear multiple regression.
The results of the study found that 1) the majority of the population were male (63.73%), aged 50 years and over (54.90%), had a bachelor's degree (76.47%), held management positions (70.59%), had an average income of over 20,000 baht (70.58%), and had been working for 3-5 years (37.25%). The analysis of factors affecting food sanitation behavior found that the leading factor, knowledge of food sanitation, was at a high level (100%), the enabling factor, personal skills related to the work, was at a high level (98.04%), and the reinforcing factor, receiving additional knowledge training, was at a high level (100%). As for food sanitation behavior, it was at a moderate level (90.20%). 2) Personal factors, leading factors, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors were significantly related to behavior at a statistical level of 0.01, where leading factors and enabling factors influenced the prediction of food sanitation behavior among administrators and Workers in Phuket Provincial Administrative Local Government Organizations. At the significance level of 0.05, it reached 79.9 %.
Recommendations from the study: This research found that food sanitation operation behaviors were at a moderate level. Therefore, experimental research should be conducted to obtain more detailed information. Future studies should also include restaurant operators, consumers, and public health personnel to provide diverse perspectives and cover all dimensions of the food sanitation system.
