Community Health Plans by using Strategic Route Map Technique among Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand 2011

Abstract

           The purpose of the study, To describe the process of Community Health Plans (CHP) by using Strategic Route Map (SRM) Technique and community participation, among Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital (SHPH) in Chiang Rai Province by the year 2011. A survey study was conducted 213 participants and collected data by the questionnaire from Health staffs at the workplaces and 90.61% response rate. The results showed that 78.24% of Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital (SHPH) were conducted community health plans (CHP), and 33.68% has conducted for the sub-district plan. The community health plan has conducted all the villages level by 30.05%, and 14.51% has a part of community areas for conducted CHP in the villages level. They were using strategic route map (SRM) technique for CHP by 68.87%, 41.86% has followed CHP for community activities, and 83.52% of the budget comes from local government organization sources. The level of community participation were moderate (x=3.06, S.D=0.84) for conducted CHP, and 73.51% supported the process of CHP and SRM by health staffs and local government organization staffs.
