Association between the local Administrative Organization support and Emergency medical service performance in Dok Khum Tai District, Thayao Province

Abstract

          This study aimed to describe level of advocacy from a local government for emergency medical service performance and an association between the local administrative organization support and an emergency medical service performance in Dok Kham Tai district. The sample of 85 rescues staff who received a training from the basic emergency medical service curriculum of the Ministry of Public Health, and were registered as emergency medical service officers in Phayao province. The research instrument was a questionnaire comprising the demographical data, local administrative organization (LAO) supports and an emergency medical service performance. The statistics analyses explored the personal demographic data of the samples, and associations between the LAO support and the emergency medical services. The results showed that the means of scoring from all levels of the LAO support were moderate. The average score was 2.45 (SD. = 0.69). The emergency medical service performance was moderate. The average score was 3.42 (SD. = 0.96), and the relation between 4 Ms (Man, Money, Material and Management) and the LAO support was a positive correlation with a significant difference value of r = 0.635, and p < value = .001. In conclusion, the local administrative organization in Dok Kham Tai is likely to provide a support with 4Msto the emergency medical service system for a suitable performance, coverage, guide and planning of development for its.
