Randomly Standard Assessment SRRT Primary Level, Inspection Region 18, 2008

Abstract

         The study of standard assessment of Surveillance and Rapid Response Team (SRRT) primary level of Inspection Region 18 during May-June 2008 was conducted in order to acknowledge standard practice of SRRT primary level and also to utilize information as competency developing plan for SRRT forward. The assessment used by deep interviewing, questionnaires and their working reports was been following guidelines of Bureau of Epidemiology. The sample size of 12 teams (25% of whole 46 teams) were randomly employed for this study. The results showed that all the assessed SRRT met SRRT standards. According to SRRT standards, team and rapid standard showed the highest number (100%) of the assessed meeting standards. 87% and 77% of the assessed met surveillance and response standard, respectively. SRRT setting, team competency, logistics, rapid action, reporting, early warning action and acknowledgement template followed by SRRT standard templates showed the highest number (100%) of the assessed meeting templates. 67% of the assessed met event-based surveillance report completing and timing template, however response completing template showed the lowest percentage (17%) of the assessed meeting that. The authors wish to suggest that hurried giving throughout coordinated network the complete report just in time, always checking and analyzing information, developing for surveillance reporting standard and emergency action plan should be considered and conducted. Moreover, for Bureau of Epidemiology, the evaluation method for obviously classifiedtemplates should be designed.
