The Impact of Specification of thai industrial Standard 180 in Nakornping Hospital Staff

Abstract

             The purpose of this study were to determine the Impact of Specification of Thai Industrial Standard (TIS I8001) in Nakornping Hospital Staff., to examine factors affecting practice of the specification of TIS I8001 and comparison between fetors concerning demographic factors, knowledge and practice. The population consisted 220 staff working in 55 area of Nakornpingf Hospital, Chiang Mai province during April to September 2007. The data were collected by the us of questionnaires developed by research basing on the specification of TIS 18001 developed by research basing on the specification of TIS 1801.  The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, 1-test, ANOVA,. Pearson’s correlating coefficient and Multiple Regression. The results revealed that firstly knowledge of Nakornping Hospital staff were high level. The mean score of knowledge was 3..12, standard deviation was 3672. The mean score of practice followed by the specification of TIS 18001 was 59.67, standard deviation was 9.846, secondly Nakornping Hospital staff showed significant differences in demographic factors such as sex, age, education, position, lifetime working, training experience and knowledge(p-value<0.05). finally practice of the specification of TIS 18001 could be predicted by knowledge, training experience and education at 0.05 level of significant. Therefore, staff should be empower to understand in the process and gain more knowledge to be able to practice correctly and prevent risk or hazard that may occur.
