Objective to evaluate the efficacy of Fine Needle Aspiration on diagnosis of palpable breast masses compared with final histopathology and complete follow up patients. Setting: Department of Surgery Lamphun Hospital Design: Retrospective Descriptive Study Subjects: 197 patients with 216 specimens of palpable breast masses with were diagnosis by cytology form FNA and final histology I complete follow up. Method: The data was analyzed by comparison of cytology with final diagnosis. Results: Diagnostic Accuracy, Sensitivity and Specificity of FNA on palpable breast mass were 94.48%, 88.64% and 97.03% respectively. Conclusion: Needle Aspiration is a high efficacy tool to diagnosis of palpable breast masses. Well-trained surgeon should be an important factor to decrease failure rate.
