A medical investigated on dead case of leptospirosis in Mae-ai District, Chiangmai Province

Abstract

         A medical investigated on dead case of leptospirosis infection was carried out in 20 July,2005. The epidemiological data were collected by interview of patient's relative at the infected area Ban Maipoongam, Moo 6, Tambon Banluang, Mae-ai District Chiangmai province.The objectives was to determined the risk factor to leptospirosis and how to provide suitable prevention and control. The result shown that symptom and duration of disease are reated to clinical manifestation and laboratory examination which is proved leptospirosis. The predisposed factors of leptospirosis in this patient was farming activities in rice field, Leptospirosis infection develops after patient had exposed and immersion in water with out protection.The evidence from this investigate are in accordance with the epidemiological finding. It is suggested that public education about it's role in dissemination of leptospirosis Should be defined in order to block the route of transmission of leptospirosis to villagers in infected area. Also promote them to protect themselves by wearing shoe during have risk farming activities.
