This quasi-experimental study, one-group pre-test and post-test, examined the effects of a self-management program on health behaviors among people living with HIV aged 20 years and older. The sample were 30 people living with HIV (PLHIV) with a history of inconsistent adherence to antiretroviral therapy over the past six months. Sample were selected using purposive sampling from patients receiving treatment at Sankamphaeng Hospital, Chiang Mai. The self-management program based on Creer’s self-management framework was used for 16 weeks. Data was collected using a validated health behavior questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The findings indicated that overall health behaviors increased significantly (p<0.05). Comparisons by aspect showed that medication adherence, exercise, and managing mental distress also increased significantly (p<0.05). While dietary behavior scores were not statistical significance. These findings suggest that a self-management program is an effective intervention for enhancing health behaviors among PLHIV and may be integrated into nursing practice to support long-term treatment adherence and holistic health management.
