Happiness and quality of life in workplace of personnel at Boromarajonani College of Nursing Saraburi

Abstract
This descriptive study assessed quality of life and happiness in work place among personnel at Boromarajonani College of Nursing Saraburi. The cross-sectional survey was collected using the Quality of Life and Happiness questionnaires. Participants were 56 civil service instructors and 42 supportive staff. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation. Findings showed that an overall quality of life (mean = 4.34, S.D. = 0.76) and happiness (mean = 4.29, SD = 0.70) in work place were at high level. For each dimension of quality of life, the highest score was organization pride (mean = 4.47, S.D. = 0.65) whereas, the lowest score was work autonomy (mean = 3.39, S.D. = 0.78). For each dimension of happiness, the highest score was love in value of work (mean = 4.80, S.D. = 0.47) whereas, the lowest score was the autonomy management (mean = 3.66, S.D. = 0.91). Correlation analysis showed that quality of life in workplace correlated positively with age (.34) and years of work (.42) whereas, happiness in workplace correlated negatively with age (-.36) and years of work (-.24).
