Health literacy is the cognitive and social skills that affect the motivations and capabilities of individuals and communities to access, understand and utilize health data to improving knowledge and developing life skills which are conducive to individual and community health. It is an essential skill to achieve good health. Health literacy can be seen as an ultimate goal of health education alongside supportive environments. Improvement of health literacy into high level may help developing individuals’life skills and contributing communities’ health. The development of health literacy can be seen as the way to promote health.
